It is now a complete illustration with all the line drawn in illustrator. I used much pencil to keep that sketched feel, I added highlights as well. It is meant to have an inked feel, with color painted over the ink.

This was the piece from Motion Graphics, the only part I really had any desire to have in the portfolio.
It is now a complete illustration with all the line drawn in illustrator. I used much pencil to keep that sketched feel, I added highlights as well. It is meant to have an inked feel, with color painted over the ink.

Nice, is the bottom illustration going to be your portfolio piece?
ReplyDeleteTom – like Krysta, I’m wondering if the bottom version is the “done” version. I hope so – it’s quite successful. So - is this still just one frame within the motion graphic project or a stand alone illustration? It sounds like you may want to just use this, and not the rest of the project. I have no problem with that… as long as it has some time of typography involved. Could you simply add a title to this?

ReplyDeleteYes, the bottom is the portfolio piece, the top was the original I'd included to show the work. Adding typography might end up being a bit much, but I think adding a title would do.
