Portfolio Inserts and first page

I did a design for the first page of my portfolio, which I intend to use to introduce myself and my brand. This is intended to be 14x9. I also designed inserts, 2x9, to be placed on the side of the portfolio page closest to the spine. This will be used to provide a description of each project. The arrow shown will be pointing in the direction of the project, but aside from direction of the arrow the insert will have the exact same layout throughout.
I am open to any ideas anyone has for improvement.

First, the first page:

  1. Great idea, and I love how it's turning out! If I were to make any suggestions, I might play with the leading a little; the body copy font you chose is, space-wise, very thick, and I think the leading could be increased a bit between lines (especially on the front page, where the text varies from big and bold to regular roman face). I have the same problem whenever I use that "Stilu" font; it's thick, so it requires a bit more extra leading than I would normally use. Otherwise, I can't wait to see how it all looks when printed!

  2. Ian – The cover page is great. The insert is a very interesting idea that you should try and evaluate. Just to make sure it works. You could increase the leading, or decrease the point size… as long as it isn’t smaller than 10pt we will be able to read it if we want to.
