I have redesigned my logo, I had had trouble adding additional color since it began as a profile shot.
I illustrated a 3/4 turn in black and white and redesigned the type, since it no longer fit into the G
the same way. I like the way the rythm created by the hard and rounded edges.
I think it will work better with color; the company would be Designed by Girard.
Let me know what you think.
Tom – I’m not sure what I’m seeing in the upper left – but I’m pretty sure you are interested in moving forward with the logo I’ve seen you work up (lower on the page). So – my comments will be limited to that one.
ReplyDeleteAs I look at this work, with the “bearded G” – I think it will be very important that it be emphasized more in the context of the word. Have you thought about enlarging it substantially and adding the rest of the words in front of it “Designed by Girard”? How will the “Designed by” sit in relation to that big G? I’m hoping you think about not simply setting it all on 1 line. Please make a BIG DEAL about the G… so we look at it carefully and don’t think it is simply a strange iteration of the letter G within a font.
