Carl, For me, the changes to the portrait have really worked for this: size and placement. It has broken up some of the visual space from the original, chunking it up and creating some visual interest. I wonder if a similar technique can be used on the second page, visually chunking up that content somehow. It doesn't have to be an image on the second page, but breaking up the text would be nice. After what I've seen it do to the first page, I am very interested to see what happens in the second page.
