Please eliminate the pink/orange rectangular background shapes on the page. They confuse the visual hierarchy, pulling our eyes around the page so we read the content out of order. You don’t need them.
I think you should just stick to a color palette of orange and black for the letterhead design. It works really well on your logo, but the added contrasting the bars in the upper left do not support the logo, instead they challenge it. The wavy vertical line works fine – but why orange? The line work in your logo is black – let’s stick with that.
Lastly – you need a zip code on your street address, which means that line will be longer, and might not sit well in the spot you’ve placed it. Again, please keep thinking about placing your name and contact information nearer to the logo, so they will have a relationship. After all, it’s the job of the logo to catch our attention, and it makes sense to place the most important content on the page near it (that would be your name, etc).
Hi Carl, I am not a fan of the placement of your name and address. I think I would try placing you name in the upper right corner. There seems to me the right corner has empty space, at least play with the placement. I do like the layout the orange boxes do stick out my eyes go straight to the orange text boxes.
Carl – this is coming along! Some thoughts:
